Actually gold and tin price are the SP drivers here; share consolidation is inconsequential. It's just that usually companies with a gazillion shares on issue generally don't have a steady revenue or profit stream. MLX does but it is reliant on commodity and gold markets for its margins.
Better to keep a price on gold price as this is the main driver of return for MLX over short to medium term.
