GMEL have gone to the market twice in the past 2/3 years and raised about $30m from existing and new shareholders.
GMEL have signed a MOU with China Non‐Ferrous Metal Industry. A huge state owned Chinese corporation.
They have a huge Danish Pension Fund as a large shareholder.

More than a few other Greenland "mining companies" are at early exploration stage - GMEL is close to lodging a mining license - hence more mature in that process.

Seems with the state coffers the way they are, Greenland aren't really in a position to be turning away business.
