Very true, it would be interesting to know how many people suffered from asbestos as well. Going back many years when I was in the army one of my jobs was paint spraying, in those days the undercoat was red lead, fortunately the masks used with the right filtration made it relatively safe but those who didn't suffered greatly. Coal miners who didn't wear the breathing apparatus would have suffered, finishing a shift absolutely covered with coal dust.
So my smoking will affect me probably about the age of ninety, only 15 years to go.
Maybe lumbago, sciatica or rheumatism or some other ailment might come first.
