What if voters are actually already thinking about their vote and electing Greens and Independents in the senate to protect the whole community from the excesses, extravagances and 19th century ideologies of the two majors, maybe they are already exercising their free and democratic right to elect those who may do the best job of overseeing the legislation or at least look at it with an unblinkered view, and not allowing their vote to be hijacked by a minority who seem to believe they no better.
