I am not sure who you disagree with AJLD sorry but in case it was me may I clarify that my post was about people expecting company releases just to satisfy the mob - and it applies to any forum you care to read - in agreeance with Whiskey's post.

My thoughts on the timeframe are that because we watch the SP daily we get a distorted sense of relative time. 9 months to:

1. Drill
2. Fix problems with rig
3. Reinvestigate further because they found more leads
4. Take samples
5. Move an drill at another place
6. Find more oil
7. Take more samples
8. Send to lab for appraisal (fitting into labs schedule as they were unlikely to sitting there waiting for our samples, they would have other customers)

is not a real long time in the scheme of a project. But to us sitting without intimate knowledge wondering whats happening 9 months seems a looooong time.

For all we know they might have asked the lab to have a look at SNE results first now because that's an easier target and hence suspect FAN analysis till after. (In fact that seems likely to me).

Either way I certainly can't offer any informed opinion as to how long analysis takes or whether any results will be before xmas. Happy to take others thinking on that.
