A lot of happy clapping here for mine. Folk may want to look into the research done by Frank Bass in consumer product innovation in particular the Bass Diffudion Model. There is little doubt that cosmetic products will bring in much needed coin, however history has shown that pinnning everything on this field alone may not as great LT plan as many are considering .
Yes initial sales can look good, but repeat sales will be required.
Yes the product is being rolled out on the back of consumer uptake and feedback. One thing to consider is which and why market it was rolled out into first. It was not Eurpoe where established brands and products are entrenched - sales traction is very very hard to get there due to product loyalty. Korea was chosen as a test market IMHO, they are known early adopters. But are fickle, they are just as ready to try other products and brands.
I believe th the IP, but will need to see much more before I reinvest. I don't have any impitus to invest at these levels, at this stage. eg. What product are to gollow and when? So particularly while the opption exercising and dilution has yet to run its course, I'll wait. The COTY annc. Hints at the indicative of the timelines for further expansion.
That being said if the SP were to drop to my target I have some bluies at the ready I'll trade out for OBJ. Or consolidated sales returns (and thus forecastable royalties) fit my filters - but that's a ways off yet. Miss the boat - not at these levels JIMHO, and so be it if OBJ defies historical norms. If that's the case there would still be sufficiect growth down the track for capital gains.
GLTA. I'm watching closely from the bench.
