I appreciate that this is highly speculative bordering on dreaming.
Carbon is a very versatile element that is capable of forming chemical bonds in 3 dimensions.
This means that it can be a source of very strong, but light materials.
In the future carbon may be used to create strong, durable materials on a very large scale and people will look back and say: we wasted a good resource by burning it for energy.
Highly speculative? But many things we now take for granted were once very speculative.
I'm on the look out for investing in the use of carbon to make strong materials.
