For over 100 years, mining in Kalgoorlie has been made possible by pumping freshwater from Perth. Since 2007, desalinated water has helped to guarantee the continued supply.

It is possible, that wave generated freshwater will eventually find it's way to Kalgoorlie as well.

If it can be achieved in the driest state, in one of the driest countries in the world, it can be achieved anywhere.
