CP,i'll give my enlightened response now, if you want to trade shares relying on analysts (sounds like even one analyst) opinions well thats your choice,i prefer to buy companies i like for reasons i like.eg tls and ctx 2 good examples,how long have analysts been bagging both co's because they misunderstood the changing business models,and thats probably 80% to 90% of analysts,but now at current prices these same analysts are saying tls is now a reasonable buy .
I hold wow and wes because i need some diversity lol thats 5 stocks including a spec i now hold,and imo both are as safe as you can get in current environment otherwise put your money into bonds (govt) not greek or russian,.
I missed csl,ramsays but many of the other analysts favourite picks have been taking a hammering eg tpg,flight centre,sul etc and that doesn't include bhp and rio who 80 to 90% say should be in all smsf portfolios,imo the banks are next but still being recommended.
Anyway we all have our opinions and i could go on but imo 80 to 90% of analysts are sheep,they follow the herd.
Some do sell out but they don't tell the herd till they have sold so imo care should be taken when reading analysts reports and you are not a customer,is that enlightening.?
ps and i repeat,wes and wow will get into banking and unlike tesco it will be the mobile payment app that makes them more competitive than the banks,so lets see if maybe eftpos,wes and wow can get their act together and imo 100% tls is talking to 'ALL' players and seeing how they should respond.
