New technical rule provides important step (12.17.2014)

DIN SPEC 32737 Energy Saving Ordinance allows evaluation of fuel cell

For the first time a method for energy evaluation of fuel cells was determined with the DIN SPEC 32737, 18599-9 which is linked to the scheme of the DIN V for the energetic evaluation of CHP systems, taking into account the given boundary conditions of the Energy Saving Ordinance (EnEV).  The method is based on fuel cells with a thermal output of 0.3 kW and 5 kW, coming in residential buildings or objects with comparable Terms used and heat out to be operated.  Condition for the application of DIN SPEC 32737 is the availability of metrics such as performance and efficiency, which are formulated in DIN EN 50465.  With the new technical regulations is an important step has been done to make fuel cells as part of the Energy Saving Ordinance, the Renewable Energies Heat Act or building upon it support instruments normatively evaluated.  Fuel cell heating systems as an innovative distributed generation of electricity and heat are already in a position to meet the stringent requirements of the ENEV 2016.
