Venus Metals Corporation (ASX:VMC) has intersected flake graphite at the Black Forest Prospect of its Copper Hills Project in Western Australia.
The 10 metre at 4.51% graphitic carbon intersection is part of a much larger graphite system with multiple ground electromagnetic targets for drill testing over an area of 2 kilometres by 1 kilometres.
Evaluation of historical drilling results has confirmed visual graphite intersections of up to 30% in numerous graphite layers within many drillholes at Black Forest.
This indicates potential for a new graphite province in high grade metamorphic rocks of the Paterson Province.
Further evaluation of the Copper Hills project continues with the focus now being on graphite at Black Forest Prospect.
