I am looking for investment ideas besides stocks and property as I am already overweight in both stocks and property.
I am not interested in a managed fund with performance that is linked to stocks or property either as I want to take the risk associated with stocks and property out of this component of my total portfolio.
CME Capital Australia looks interesting as they offer a one year term deposit rate of 7.75%, which is more than double the rate of my present BankWest term deposit that expires soon.
Anybody had any experience with CME Capital Australia and care to share?
Alternatively, perhaps there are other low risk investment ideas that I am not familiar with?
I considered buying several Ford GTHOs, Holden Monaros, and Torana SLR 5000s as an investment, but I expect that my wife will not share my enthusiasm with this approach.
