Penny Wong can trace her mother's family back to one of the original settlers in South Australia, who arrived on the Cygnet in 1836. Her mum is White Australian and I doubt any immigration policy would stop an Australian mother bringing her daughter back to Australia because the father is non white. Well, a policy written by some of the far right on HC might prevent it.
