Not here in Albury, NSW, you don't.
Neighbours and plenty of others with their motor vehicles all registered in Victoria seemingly allowed to do just that.
A few years ago, I think there was a court case that let the "offender" off, as vehicle registered anyway,whether in NSW or Vic.
The other thing they don't police in Albury, is parking on footpaths and nature strips, ... all part of the culture now.
