    It is not so much agree to disagree - probably more a timing issue. If the PRISM style reactors commercialize and become more cost competitive than the LWR than sure it would seem like a no-brainier that is all that would be built. But realistically how long until that could happen especially in light of the first PRISM reactor won't be built until 2025-2030. The reactors being planned in China, UK, Russia etc are overwhelmingly LWR and this is 10-15 years ahead.

    Until that time, think of it as a transition period, my understanding is the LWR are the most simple and cost effective method hence would be the core of the policy (with PRISM being used to deal with waste).

    I have been reading up a bit on translucent (at your suggestion) and I agree that appears possible for something very positive. With any luck we may get another "game changer".
