Most Australians know that militant union leadership utilise thugs and thuggish actions to achieve their selfish aims. This has been common practise for decades (read Australia's Secret War) and has been so before I first witnessed it in the Maritime Services Union in the 1960's ! Many unionist are honourable hard workers however, I am referring to the proven union thugs.
BTW, if you haven't noticed, the RC into Union (read Labor) corruption is progressively recommending civil criminal charges against union thugs.
