Have been trying to phone ATO. Have phoned nos. indicated for SMSFs and both times have been transferred because the numbers I have phoned don't handle specific area I needed, apparently. Twice I have been transferred. Twice I have been cut off after waiting on transfer line.
I made a PAYG payment end of October. I discovered end of Dec. that money was sitting in account! Went to bank ... The payment had gone out but unbeknownst to me, it had bounced back the same day and do not know why. I wanted to inform ATO so that they do not think that this is just an 'ordinary' late payment....I don't want a fine..!! I have made the payment and also wanted to check the ETF Number. I am with WBC and clicked on Pay 'Tax' to make payment.
Numbers I phoned...13 10 20 and 1800 815 886.
Am I phoning wrong numbers? At this stage I haven't a clue.
