Second big article in today's Australian in as many weeks.Someone there must like us.Not much there we didn't already know,they would have to release it to the market first, but there were a few tit bits
A few years ago when we were drilling at Star, Gooding was hoping for a few small to medium size deposits which could be developed quickly and cheaply.He now seems to have been converted to the big hit deposit, Star being surrounded by Ok Tedi, Freida and Grasberg. Anyway if we don't hit the big time we can always revert to the small,medium story,with AA having spent a fair bit on exploration,and retaining their 15% or flogging it.
"Drilling " to start before March.
Different Brokers running hot and cold on Freida.Goldmans research on PanAust ascribes it no value where as CIMB value it at $US420mil.Surely $360mil of drilling has got to be worth something.
Ramu - sounded like Gooding was saying that we would take up our extra 9.25% as fair market value when the time comes.
