My comment re the fee going to the company was based first hand on my requesting a copy of a share register from a registry, and was told as soon as they had confirmed I'd payed the money to the company, they (registry) would send me a copy.
It actually went like this....
I approached the co. for a copy. The co. directed me to the registry. Registry said, soon as you pay the money to the co., we'll send you the copy.
So what was going on there???
