Al-Qaeda releases chilling new warning for France
Al-Qaeda in Yemen has threatened France with fresh attacks, just hours after four hostages were killed in a Jewish supermarket siege in Paris.
"It is better for you to stop your aggression against the Muslims, so perhaps you will live safely. If you refuse but to wage war, then wait for the glad tiding," top sharia official
Harith al-Nadharisaid in an audio clip released by AQAP.
Meanwhile, the Islamic State group's radio praised the three gunmen,
Cherif and
Said Kouachi and
Amedy Coulibaly, as "heroes".
Somalia's Shebab militants, al-Qaeda's main affiliate in Africa, also hailed the "heroic" act.
