Ele, thanks for posting that. Appreciate it. In the interests of balance though I'd like to note that the GS research which this is based on is at pains to point out that GS is below consensus on its calls (along the whole curve). I actually read the full piece this morning. Their U-shaped recovery call is interesting.

Anyway, it's of academic interest only as we're all guessing and none of the pundits saw this coming. One or two saw declines but zero forecast what we're now seeing. Not one. So why should we believe any particular house when it tries to put a finger on where the new equilibrium will be? To my mind there's a lot of the usual broker me-too-ism happening with the POO forecasts (and I've read pretty much all of them). They are all embarrassed at being so wrong-footed and so are all keen to stay close to a consensus (bearish) call.

I note you have sold. Hope to see you back someday. Sentiment is going to stay relentlessly negative for a few months yet I'm afraid. But not being a trader I'm happy to sit and wait. The only number which matters to me is what FAR is taken out at. The rest is just noise.
