Iluka Resources Limited (ASX:ILU) has posted sinking output and revenues over the 2014 calendar year.The Australian based minerals sands producer has shown total mineral sands production dropped 14.7 per cent to just over 900 tonnes.Excluding the impact of ilmenite, production of zircon, rutile and synthetic rutile rose 13.5 per cent to almost 535 tonnes.Iluka says higher zircon and rutile production was offset by no production of synthetic rutile due to the idling of all kilns.Over the year mineral sands sales increased 1.2 per cent but revenues fell 5 per cent to $725 million.Iluka Resources’ net profit dropped 66 per cent to $11.7 million in the first half of the 2014 calendar year.
