    DuPont TPE enables sea tether

    Hytrel thermoplastic elastomer from DuPont Performance Polymers is being used in an innovative system which allows moored devices to move with the sea. DuPont and Technology from Ideas (TFI), based in Ireland, collaborated to develop the Dynamic Tethers system, which reduces peak loads by up to 70% and improves durability of mooring lines that tether and protect high-value marine devices, such as wave energy devices and fish farms.
