The SP has had a good run of late on the back of the increase in POG, however, with the lift in the gold price late Friday night a better SP result today for NST could have been expected. I would have thought that the early rise in SP today to $2.07 would have held, but it could be just a case of consolidating before the next move upwards. Gold is up around $25 from what it was when our market closed on Friday. It will be interesting to see if the SP picks up a little at around the market close today - shorters covering maybe?.
