Im not really interested in the politics of it, its wrong regardless, and any standing govt should have introduced an overarching quota system based on ten year projections of need. The current trend also includes swelling the ranks with internationals, which may lighten the load on post grad employment stress when they go home, but it is inflationary and drives the prices of uni up. So degree price goes up and youve got less and less chance of getting a job at the end of it..................joke.
