Just a thought on this appointment. Jobs like this take a long period to negotiate. I remember CN going back months said that there are different ways of raising the $. You'll have to think wether this is one of the avenues, seeing he is from the finance world, probably with a lot of connections.
That being the case, the "commercial" word probably was all but known then. I can't recall the exact timing of what CN said though.
Regardless, we were talking about all the hints towards that end; well this appointment would be the most significant of them all. I for one has the "C" word now confirmed in my mind.
