So just to make sure you understand what happened:

Andrews made it very clear he would not build the tunnel. He wrote to all parties of the consortium saying if elected he would not build the tunnel. This was before the contracts were signed. You cant be much more honest and open than that.

Now Napthine signed the contract within 30 days of the caretaker period. If it was such a good project why did he not back himself with the project and hold off signing until elected. The reason why he didn't is because the tunnel is a dud - lucky to return 50cents in the dollar. He also kept all the details secret because he new the project was a dud. But even worse he put in the compensation clause. Just why in the hell did he do this? If Victoria had a decent ICAC this would be investigated - but we dont (despite what was promised by the Libs 4 years ago).

Now also for the record the CMFEU wanted to build the tunnel. They came out in support of building the tunnel because they wanted the jobs (and more union ticket holders). Hardly holds up the claim made by you and other righties that Andrews is beholden to the union.

As for the upper house - like the Senate it will be rabble. But the greens and sex party (just what the hell were we doing) will ensure any legislation stopping the tunnel will be passed. End of the story.
