I think you need to do further research on spherical graphite processing. You get a better yield from using a concentrate with ahigher distribution of larger flakes ie less feedstock (flake graphite) is required to produce the same amount of spherical graphite which means lower operating cost.
With respect anodes, you are correct that purity is key rather than flake size but once again people need to understand the cost it will take to achieve these 99 % + purity. Your beloved SYR are yet to release any detail on this.
For the reason aboves i cant see a senario where large and jumbo flakes wont command a premium over fine to medium flakes. None the less you are right to consider senario where the basket price is less than current forcaste sale price. While i won't outline the details here i think it would be worth your while to calculate the IRR and pay back period at lower basket prices. You will see that the financials still stack up at lower basket prices.
My view is that MNS is fairly valued for its current stage of development. Sadly i can't say the same for its peers
