According to The Telegraph Cuadrilla is to spend 3-5 millions pound to bring noise level down from 13 dB to 10 dB. They also ask for a 2 to 3 weeks delay in the council decision.
This is just mad bending over backward over a minor noise increase equivalent to a noise of whispering words. The money could have been used for better monitor air quality or community school service than reducing 10 dB of noise. Council planning madness imo.
