    I agree about Hicks within certain limitations. So, the crime didn't exist when he was in Afghanistan. It does now. I know retrospective application of the law would be a minefield.

    If Govts were allowed to press civil cases there would be some cause here, ASSUMING the evidence against him was true.

    But I can't see some sort of class action against him by, for example, Army families, which would be the only course now available.
