Drilling several holes stepped out across dip at say 2o degrees from an expected dike structure's angle will show not only the width of the dike (as would occur from just drilling one diamond hole) but would also show the vertical extent of the dyke .
Then if you drill down dip you can get the strike length .
strike length * width * vertical depth * Specific gravity will give a mass figure of the ore body.
