Yea I also like the look of the IKEA as well that's why I started this thread as both kitchens look as good as one another and I was looking for anything that would put one ahead of the other at the moment it really is only the bunnings convenience factor. Though I must admit for the price IKEA has a bit more of a range.
Definitely agree re the gaps I have found on past projects you really find out how square your house isn't - packing and doing other things to hide the imperfections is essential.
Not really thinking about using a timber top given the fact that it needs oiling over time - much prefer the idea of a stone or even wood look alike laminate bench top.
