It just goes to show what a crazy world we live in.
The capitalist system is based on individuals setting up companies to further an idea.
In STO's case the idea is to extract gas and supply the Australian economy and later to exploit CSG and export to Asia.
Massive capital is expended and thousands of jobs created.
It is the jobs question that is so vital. Families and communities grow to depend on this venture.
Then out of the blue other forces are unleashed that shake this idea and families and communities are thrown into turmoil.
It has ever been so.
As far as I can see STO is well run and socially very responsible hoping to secure as many jobs as is possible.
On top of all this we have a supposedly reponsible company say that STO's SP was worthless and this fact was communicated by the Fairfax and ABC media.
That is law of the jungle
