The same point was raised by Zjeljko our universalist regarding did Jesus die in vain on the cross if everyone was not saved was it an imperfect act of sacrifice.
That again looks at the extent of salvation not what the plan of intent was.
Universal salvation is a belief but it is in the vast minority within the Christian body and does not have much support in any theological sense.
There is no reason why one would not wish salvation for all but it comes down to applying consistent hermeneutics and whether universalism is actually supported in the scripture. The 'all' who are or will be the saved or those that are mentioned as such are defined and hence why universalism is not a core doctrine of any of the major denominations within Christianity. The all are Gods people, his elect.
Same as the nature of God, you would not go out of your way to present God as a Trinity if you had such a choice The Unitarian concept of God fits nicely into a box and also is much more understandable to the human mind that is limited in time and space, but again is that what is presented in scripture. That is why Christianity worships Christ as God within the triune Godhead.
If by applying consistent hermeneutics of the scripture this leads you into a dead end or contradictions then what you are most likely facing is a tradition that you have adopted or accepted.
God is love yes but this does not negate his Holy nature nor his Justice. Evil will not have a future and as a result there will be mighty consequences just as mighty as those that required our salvation.
The absurd claim of Christianity is that God invaded his own creation cloaked in flesh to redeem his people.
Even today the consequences of God's sacrifice bare witnessed on his pierced and scarred body. Jesus will not look like the popular images we see today. Our shame will be imprinted on the wounds born to this day and for eternity on Christs body. We were told of his sacrifice and disfigurement hundreds and hundreds of years before his birth.
6I gave My back to those who strike
Me,
And My cheeks to those who pluck out the beard;
I did not cover My face from humiliation and spitting.
Even the closest to him struggled to recognize the risen Christ until he revealed himself.
God Helps His Servant
1Thus says the L
ORD,
“Where is the certificate of divorce
By which I have sent your mother away?
Or to whom of My creditors did I sell you?
Behold, you were sold for your iniquities,
And for your transgressions your mother was sent away.
2“Why was there no man when I came?
When I called,
why was there none to answer?
Is My hand so short that it cannot ransom?
Or have I no power to deliver?
Behold, I dry up the sea with My rebuke,
I make the rivers a wilderness;
Their fish stink for lack of water
And die of thirst.
3“I clothe the heavens with blackness
And make sackcloth their covering.”
4The Lord G
OD has given Me the tongue of disciples,
That I may know how to sustain the weary one with a word.
He awakens
Me morning by morning,
He awakens My ear to listen as a disciple.
5The Lord G
OD has opened My ear;
And I was not disobedient
Nor did I turn back.
6I gave My back to those who strike
Me,
And My cheeks to those who pluck out the beard;
I did not cover My face from humiliation and spitting.
7For the Lord G
OD helps Me,
Therefore, I am not disgraced;
Therefore, I have set My face like flint,
And I know that I will not be ashamed.
8He who vindicates Me is near;
Who will contend with Me?
Let us stand up to each other;
Who has a case against Me?
Let him draw near to Me.
9Behold, the Lord G
OD helps Me;
Who is he who condemns Me?
Behold, they will all wear out like a garment;
The moth will eat them.
10Who is among you that fears the L
ORD,
That obeys the voice of His servant,
That walks in darkness and has no light?
Let him trust in the name of the L
ORD and rely on his God.
11Behold, all you who kindle a fire,
Who encircle yourselves with firebrands,
Walk in the light of your fire
And among the brands you have set ablaze.
This you will have from My hand:
You will lie down in torment.
