solipsist - great word. I had to look that up and I'm pretty sure I'm not one of them, not completely anyway.

Actually I thought your argument was very sound. Good reasoning. The MH370 thing was merely to point out that we make assumptions all the time based on little evidence. Nobody really knows what happened to that plane but the most likely scenario is it fell into the sea and all are lost. On that call the insurance can be paid.

I believe that the nature of the universe is suggestive of an all pervasive order that is not an aspect of its physical state. I have no idea what this force for external order is but it appeases my logical need.

I agree that it is a total waste of time trying to understand how the universe was made or if God exists.

As is the case with all phenomena, we each can only receive information and understanding according to our own state and capacities, and not in accordance with the reality of what actually exists. Each degree of understanding requires a commensurate level of capacity. Even the ability to recognise this essence that the good folks like to call 'God' requires a certain capacity. That capacity is not existent in all people.

We are on the same page pretty much regarding evolution, apart from that fact that I believe it is a somewhat guided process. Not in superficial form and shape but rather complexity with an ultimate purpose of producing humans.

'Do you just believe whatever you read or whatever someone tells you? Or do you look for evidence that supports the claims that are being made.'

I thought the above line was a bit tough. I believe what I believe. I come to belief just like you. We both could be wrong but I never stop working on it. I have all my options to change my mind at a moments notice open.
