Thank milesg, Unfortunately like many others I only get to my accountant once or twice per year. Often my fanciful questions are forgotten or lost. So it is quicker to resolves the issue by asking someone on HC. Also I often find accountants are helpful with ‘what you are doing’ but not with ‘what you could be doing’. Consequently one never knows if the one is optimising the tax potential. For example, I’m sure there are people who trade shares and run their car thru their tax. To find an accountant that will advise you on how to do this (be it, the running of other minor business activities) is hard to find.
