Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum. Just wondering what people think of this seemingly innocuous change to the DDR Financial Year. The explanation in the ASX filing does not make much sense - i.e. "to more closely align the financial year with the Company’s trading year". I'm sorry but a year is 12 months whether it ends in June or December; and what is a "trading year" anyway?
Does anyone think there are any implications to this which are a little deeper - e.g. muddying the waters so as to hide the true story of the Express integration, changing the dividend payment plans etc, delaying the issue of an interim report etc? I can't think of any good implications of this change but I fear plenty of bad ones.
