I don't fill my car up from empty everyday. If I have a quarter tank full of petrol I am happy to drive 20 km to work and 20 km home.
If I fully charge a battery powered car battery I can expect a range of 400 km and that would be enough to drive to/from work for 10 days. Now if I top-up the battery from mains power at 20A for 12 hours every night, how many days can I drive to/from work? Go figure!
