the term sheet would have been written up several days ago and distributed to the broker Sophisticated Investors to gauge the level of interest and confirm the agreed amount can be raised at the price set.
however technically the placement is not done until all of the cash is received into the brokers account, and this takes several days to complete.
When it goes over 2 days, that's when you see a further suspension of a day or two.
Basically trading is halted until the new share structure and funding is confirmed and the market fully informed.
