it"s not tls the business that is the problem.it"s our volatile exchange rate which is still a lot higher than most overseas investors are comfortable with.that"why when we had the rate cut,the aus$ fell to 76 cents and the overseas investors went "ape".then our dollar went up again,and interest in our stocks waned,apart from our local investors looking for a better yield.
it"s not so much the actual aus$ value,but just the perception that it has actually bottomed out,whatever the value.that"s why it could go to even 65 cents,but if there is volatility in calling the actual bottom,then overseas investors tend to shy away from ausland.
