Oz is similar in size to USA in area and only 23million people own it! But because there are so few of us,we think small. Yanks, with the same area but a helluva a lot more mouths to feed, think big. Aussies are much wealthier,in a way, than yanks but we don't get it. And our governments don't get it either. I would wager that the few "great" global Aussie companies like BHP,Rio,News and CSL were in one way or another greatly helped to their greatness by the Oz government(s) (tax concessions, mining favouritism etc etc depending on the company) . But support for brilliant new technology? Others will know the answer to that better than I. Companies like BLT are treated like orphans until they prove themselves and then the government will want to say how much it did for them and father them. And of course, where did the great companies go to really become great?Somewhere else. And that's what BLT will (have to) do too!
