GENERAL: ANB: Notice from ANZ Bank New Zealand Limited

In accordance with Listing Rule 10.6.1(a), ANZ Bank New Zealand Limited (ANB)
today announced that it intends to issue the New Zealand Dollar equivalent of
AUD 850 million (with the ability to issue more or less) mandatory
convertible non-cumulative perpetual subordinated notes to the New Zealand
branch of Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited on or about 5 March
2015.

The issue is intended to qualify as Additional Tier 1 Capital of ANB for
regulatory purposes.
