I believe many just don't realise the value of those subscribers if NEA decide they wish to offer other useful services or products direct to their email list. Google is free to users but it charges for advertising and NEA can acquire many new customers email contact details for little cost but those contact details will not only be a stepping stone for selling the main subscription service but also to both those that do and those that don't a whole range of other services which may earn them extra profit for their bottom line. What better method of luring potential customers for your future than by offering a free period looking a NearMap services?
