Desalination - the next step

Now that CWE has finally started exporting power to the grid, the next big step will be exporting freshwater.  In my opinion this is an equally important part of the CETO technology.

Going by the desperation shown by many countries, desalination may overtake power generation as a priority.  As far as power generation goes, there are many alternatives.  This is not the case as far as freshwater goes, where the options are limited and in some cases the only option is desalination.

This is where CETO technology might find a niche market in locations where wave resources and threatened fresh water supplies exist.

Israel might not be on our radar but they do know something about desalination having just completed the biggest desalination plant in the world.  Not only is it the biggest, it is also claimed to be the most efficient in terms of energy use.  Perhaps the Israeli's might become interested once PWEP demonstrates that it can produce freshwater from the ocean's energy.
