I’ve gotten into the habit of selling automatically on takeover offers. Best to get your gain, take the wife to dinner and mentally move on. The only time I didn't follow that rule it hurt! (DML).

Call me a paranoid xenophobic protectionist but this deal should be blocked. An entire transport network being controlled by a foreign entity is never good. Jobs will eventually go overseas along with profits and tax revenue. Its one thing when a company is taken over with a recapitalisation that creates jobs here (mining) but this won't help. I’ve lost count of the number of holdings that have been taken over in the past 2 years by foreigners. Pretty soon there will only be a ½ dozen companies left on the ASX.
