I went to the Melbourne roadshow yesterday, no seats left, plenty of people stood up for the sessions I was in, I didn't stick around for the whole day, things that stood out for me were:

- more than 200,000 Australian businesses currently using Xero and growing at 300 per day.
- inventory function to be released over the next few weeks.
- Tax product to be finished by May, currently awaiting ATO to do something at their end but should be up and running for 2015 tax returns for all entities except SMSF's.
- They plan to limit each accounting practice to 1,000 lodgements with the ATO per month, this will be reviewed on an ongoing basis.
- Advice that the accounting platform is nearing completion in terms of its overall package, there will always be minor changes here and there but they are getting close to having the full package up and running. In my view Inventory has been the big missing link when comparing it to desktop programs.
- The next step will be more collaboration with other organisations, eg. having Xero provide your wages details to the appropriate Workcover authority etc.

Plenty of passionate users in the room, to be honest I'm surprised about how passionate, the guy next to me was taking photos of the presenters then posting on twitter.
