"Long-term holders do not need to look at the movements on a daily basis as this only causes one's emotions to self doubt or start to believe in conspiracy theories and make rash or unwise decisions..
There is no logic in how the market works at the best of times and trying to make comparisons to other stocks will drive you mad..
When one buys a property I don't believe they would try and determine daily or monthly increases or decreases in the property market as it would drive you nuts...
