    Further to my earlier posting, lending shares to others to short a share is such a common practice and everyone knows about it.
    I believe a similar thing happen here.
    It is akin to shorting when the substantial S/H sell part of their holdings at near the peak and try to
    buy them back at near the bottom.
    The end process is---they still have the same number of shares eventually but they have used their shares to make some money instead of sitting passively in their portfolio.
    Why lend the shares out to be shorted by others when you can do it yourself?
    Watch out for the big buying whenever there is a big dip.
