Having met with Simon on many occasions I can say with confidence that he was one of, if not "THE", most astute investor(s) in the Australian market; as well as being one of a small cliche that also had impeccable global investing credentials.
He was also a pleasure to do business with from all perspectives.
Suffice to say that his passing is a very sad day.
Simon's investment in Acrux, and his unwillingness to reduce his holding despite the question mark that recently arose over TRT, is testament to the value that he saw in the stock, value that is yet to be realised.
Testosterone is not going away, new markets are opening up, there is a tailwind blowing from the positive impact of the falling AUD, and the FDA will soon bring closure on their deliberations.
My expectation is that patient long term holders will eventually be rewarded for retaining their holding.
