    Has anyone noticed IAG announcing NZ$1b Christchurch Earthquake cost escalation? This brings them dangerously close to the reinsurance cover limit for Christchurch quake. And with 40% of claims left to be resolved, including thousands of claims to be properly scoped the worst is yet to come. I would expect to see the reinsurance cover breached within months. Then, every dollar of EQ claim cost will be paid from IAG capital. IAG must have a huge deal of confidence in people running their NZ operation.
